Why not in the browser?

Luna needs a real model runtime (Ollama) and a small Python server on the device. Netlify hosts this site — it can’t run that stack for visitors. That’s intentional: your chats stay with you.

A public cloud demo may come later. This page is the official “Try it” entry from NovaSynth Labs.

How to try Luna

Windows desktop. About five minutes if Ollama is already installed.

Install Ollama

From ollama.com, then run: ollama pull llama3.2

Get Luna Companion

Clone or download from github.com/novasynthlabs/luna-companion. First run: double-click setup.bat if needed, then START_LUNA.bat.

Open the app

Browser opens at http://127.0.0.1:7860. Keep the black “Luna Server” window open while you chat.

Note: Closing the server window stops Luna — the browser will show a connection error until you start her again. That’s normal for a local companion.
